Anxiety

Anxiety and Worried Thoughts may look like many things:

  • Difficulty concentrating or restlessness
  • Worried thoughts that continue running through your mind
  • Being aware that you worry more than might be necessary
  • Being irritable or easily startled
  • Sleep disturbance, fatigue, or being tired all the time
  • Experiencing headaches, muscle aches, body tension, stomach aches
  • Trembling, shaking, shortness of breath, chest pain and discomfort
  • Panic attacks

Psychotherapy is effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety. The treatment process involves learning to identify triggers to anxiety, examining feelings and thoughts, and developing adaptive and healthy responses.
